Assistant Marketing Director - (Social Media + Industry Partnerships)About the Position:The Assistant Marketing Director performs a variety of technical, creative, and professional duties related to designing, updating, and managing the Moab Area Council social media channels. Additionally, this position supports the Economic Development Department through customer service and community building and engagement.Essential Functions:Assists with creating, managing, and implementing a comprehensive marketing plan to increase quality visitation and support Grand County's local tourism economy.Represents Grand County in domestic and international professional shows.Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with the business community.Maintains websites, distributes monthly e-newsletters, and manages social media accounts.Collaborates with local businesses and attractions to help design content that will benefit Moab Area Travel Council.Answers, tracks, and responds to routine calls and emails from visitors.Creates and edits content for online marketing and social media campaigns.Stays current on and attends Moab area events.Monitors benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs.This is not an exhaustive list of all duties. Please read the full job description before applying.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Thorough knowledge of:All social media platformsCurrent internet standardsMoab visitor attractions, services, and eventsMarketing and branding objectives and content creationGeneral office practicesSome knowledge of internet domain management.Skills in web authoring tools and utilities, Adobe Creative Suite, and communication, both verbal and in writing.Ability to maintain cooperative relationships, prioritize and manage work schedules, manage tasks simultaneously, and effective time management.Ability to learn new internet and authoring technologies and go out on trails to attend events.Qualifications:Graduation with a bachelor's degree in marketing or related field; ANDTwo (2) years of related experience; ORAn equivalent combination of education and experience.Proven track record of successful social media campaigns.Must pass pre-employment background check.
