Job SummaryThe Precision Science and Technology (PST) Director of Global Marketing and Demand Generation will lead a multitude of activities to support the growth of the products and services offered by this rapidly growing business. This will include digital marketing, strategic marketing and commercialization plans for new and existing products and services.

ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be able to effectively:

Demand Generation:

Act as a participant on the PST Leadership team as the leader for Demand Generation (marketing) contributing to overall business direction and strategy (plans for growth and margin improvement).Establish a plan to drive demand generation as a true differentiator in our industry, driving leads and nurturing them using demand generation techniques to drive funnel additions and revenue bookings.Collaborate with the commercial teams across the business segment to drive growth in targeted vertical markets and focused market segments around the world by end-user and product technology.Own the process of Demand Generation Excellence and Lead Generation and deploy it across the businesses of PST including – pricing, and sales process execution.Play an integral role in the expansion of industrial eCommerce in the organization – including strategy and awareness building.

Marketing Strategy:Participate in business strategic sessions on Product Strategy (GPS) and Business Strategy (MLB), while owning KPIs for success in driving key initiatives.Uncover new and innovative ways to engage customers through digital marketing via right time, right content, and right place approach. Success looks like building specific measured awareness and qualified lead generation.Outline and implement a plan to overhaul the PST websites within Ingersoll Rand’s websites and to leverage overall digital tools for brand awareness and revenue achievement.Work closely with product management and engineering to create effective commercialization plans for new products and services to overdrive goals and revenue targets.

Lead Business Functional Team Members:Be a point of connection to the corporate Demand Generation team, incorporating their best practices and tools where logical to enhance the PST business.Connect demand generation team members from PST brands to each other to share best practices and problem-solving activities.Manage development plans for Demand Generation team members to foster career development and talent development for the organization.

Basic Qualifications8-10 years in expanding marketing and/or commercial roles.Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent); MBA (or equivalent) preferred, not required.Marketing, Demand Generation and Web experience (marketing automation and CRM).Global experience.Must have the ability to develop a rapport with and effectively collaborate with all levels of the enterprise; strong interpersonal communications; ability to overcome ambiguity and drive results, measuring leading KPIs.Extreme comfort with daily management, results/outcomes measurement, problem solving and implementing countermeasures.

Travel & Work Arrangements/RequirementsThis is a remotely based position which will require approximately 30% travel on average.

Key CompetenciesExperience driving top tier website performance growth and managing a content overhaul in multiple languages is desired.Excellence in written and verbal communication skills.Must be self-assured working with all levels; upper management to identify and execute resolutions but also all other levels to support our people-oriented and employee-engaging culture and ability to influence in a collaborative environment.Ability to work in a matrixed organization and work across other functional peers, other SBUs, and global peers.Demonstrate excellent verbal, communication, and presentation skills.Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.Ability to identify “leading” KPIs.Strong project management skills. Ability to work projects from start to finish – identify opportunities and drive execution.Must be achievement-oriented and willing to put forth a high level of effort to produce results in a fast-paced team environment.Exceptional problem-solving skills with a solutions-driven mindset driven by analytics.Proficient in MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint, working knowledge of Salesforce and Eloqua are a plus.
