(CAI) is a private, non-profit corporation created in 1976 to promote the education and social welfare of children and families and to advocate on their behalf. Our programs include resource and referral services for families seeking child care, child care subsidies for qualifying families, recruitment and professional development of the child care workforce, and family education and support.We are seeking individuals who are highly organized, have the ability to multi-task, provide excellent customer service, have good problem-solving skills, and can understand the problems and issues facing families from a variety of ethnic and economic communities.Position Purpose & Scope:Under the direction of the Communications Officer, the Digital Communications Lead will develop video and messaging content for agency, departmental, and advocacy communications. The Digital Communications Lead will play an integral role in designing social media properties and producing day-to-day copy and narrative content including video assets. Utilizing best practices and current technological tools, the Digital Communications Lead will facilitate content planning, information delivery, and dynamic storytelling across multi-media and social media channels.The ideal candidate should be highly organized, capable of multitasking, and possess excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills. They must also have the ability to understand and articulate the challenges faced by families in need of quality, affordable child care, as well as the issues encountered by child care providers from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds. Clear communication of all assignments, project status updates, and receptiveness to feedback are essential qualifications for this position.Typical Duties:

(depending on assignment, duties may vary)Develop video and messaging content for agency, departmental, and advocacy communications, including but not limited to drafting social media posts, writing text messages, and other digital content.Create, produce, and edit digital video content to be published across all digital and social channels.Expand the organization’s use of social media tools to tell our story through digital media to reach target audiences.Conduct experiments and rigorously track outcomes of social media campaigns.Identify and develop strategies aimed at building and retaining target group segments.Develop, execute, track performance, and optimize digital media plans, including direct response (polls) and persuasion advertising.Help to set up, guide, monitor, and inform any paid social media ads.Specific tasks include editing Zoom and Teams videos, copywriting content for social media channels, developing and tracking social media advertising, and programming.Measure, analyze, and report on ad campaign performance to uncover actionable insights.Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies to increase efficiency.Develop and maintain an informed awareness of topics of interest to Child Action, Inc.Cross-functional support of all communications needs.Stay current with industry best practices.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in communications, Digital Media, Social Media, Video Production or related field of study or 2-4 years of experience in video production, digital communications, and social media required.Knowledge of digital and social platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) required.1+ years of related experience in Digital Post Production.1+ years of editing experience with applications such as Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop) preferred.Experience shooting with a smartphone to create consumable content.Capable of managing and producing multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to set up ads in platforms like Google Ads and Meta Business Manager.Understanding of digital metrics with a proven track record of audience and engagement building.Knowledge of different CRMs to run acquisition and conversion campaigns.A technologically agile mindset, adapting to new content creation tools and platforms.Communications experience in a progressive or political campaign environment is a plus.Possess a lived or experienced understanding of BIPOC, non-college-educated, and working-class communities.Ability to understand child care-related problems and provide information and services respectfully.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse backgrounds.Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to meet project needs.Demonstrated experience meeting tough deadlines and providing fast turn-around of quality communications.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong working knowledge of database management.Advanced analytical, math, and computer skills.Advanced editing skills, including proper English usage and grammar.Advanced organizational and time management skills.Knowledge of funding terms, conditions, sources, and regulations.Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others.Ability to work overtime and weekend hours as required.Ability to present information effectively to groups of managers, clients, and employees.Physical Factors:Works in an office setting with primarily sedentary work, but may occasionally work outdoors.Requires visual capability and digital dexterity to operate a computer.May be subject to high volumes of work and tight deadlines.This position requires occasional travel.FLSA Status:
