Job Description: Potatoes USA, the nation’s official potato marketing and research organization, is searching for a full-time Assistant Global Marketing Manager to join our growing team in downtown Denver.

As representatives of U.S. potato growers and importers, our mission is simple: to strengthen the demand for potatoes. We work day in and day out to fuel demand for ALL forms and types of potatoes: fresh table stock, chipping, frozen, dehydrated, seed potatoes – pretty much every potato you can think of (except for the sweet ones). In order to spread the good word about potatoes, we create smart, impactful marketing campaigns that drive demand through four key audiences: consumers, food-service operators, retailers, and health professionals.

The Assistant Global Marketing Manager is ideal for someone with entry-level experience in marketing who has a positive attitude and is eager to learn and collaborate with the global marketing team. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and adaptability to changing organizational and program needs. The work schedule is M-Th 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday 8:00am – 1:30pm, with an opportunity to work remotely Wednesdays and Fridays.

Specific Duties Include:

Support the development of domestic and international marketing programs, including establishing goals, budgets, and tactics to support the plan.Collect and analyze marketing program results and make actionable recommendations to support the programs.Assist with the preparation of grant applications to USDA and required reporting for these programs.Contribute to the creation of marketing assets and presentations.Help communicate program insights to the U.S. potato industry through presentations, articles, and newsletters.Research potato marketing opportunities, analyzing and reporting insights as requested.Assist and correspond with industry members, consumers, potato buyers, agencies, and vendors to support Potatoes USA initiatives and support the potato industry.Accurately track program spending according to established program budgets while proactively researching areas of discrepancies.Adhere to all financial policies and timelines to ensure fiscal responsibility.Process approved invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.Attend Potatoes USA Board, Industry, Agency, and International Representative meetings as needed.Represent Potatoes USA at conventions, tradeshows, and special meetings as needed.Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Capabilities, and Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, agricultural business, communications, or related field.Preferably 1 year in the field or related experience, including internships.Experience or coursework in agriculture, marketing, or food industries is preferred.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.Proficient computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.A strong team player, proactively contributing to the team’s goals.Enjoys problem-solving.Domestic and international travel required, approximately 25%.
