MANAGER, CONSUMER & DIGITAL MARKETINGLower Mainland – Full Time (hybrid role; work from home flexibility)13-Month Term CertainThe OpportunityWe’re proud to be one of the largest ferry operators in the world and for over 60 years, we have been dedicated to providing safe and efficient travel to our customers. We are looking for a key member of our consumer marketing team who shares a passion for BC’s coast to support our continued growth. Reporting to the director, Product & Consumer Marketing, you will be responsible for the development and execution of creative, innovative, integrated and measurable cross-channel consumer marketing programs. You demonstrate a passion for marketing with a high level of creativity and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results. You have strong leadership skills, are a team player and excel in a collaborative setting.Key areas of responsibility will include:Deliver marketing campaigns to promote BC Ferries fare products year-round, with tactical amplification during need periods aimed at achieving gross sales targets, generating additional traffic, shifting demand and increasing advance bookings.Coordinate with agency partners to develop strategic, coordinated media plans aimed at achieving sales targets and optimal growth.Work closely with in-house design teams and agency partners to manage the creative development process and ensure the delivery of compelling and effective creative assets.Ensure campaigns align with marketing strategy and overall business objectives.Measure effectiveness of marketing efforts through analytics.Oversee the development and distribution of email and paid social campaigns, and analyze campaign performance.Leverage segment marketing and merchandising opportunities to help increase sales and grow email marketing database.Support ongoing enhancement of bcferries.com and the app through design and functionality improvements driven by analytics, customer and stakeholder feedback.Drive SEO strategy and execute website optimization including content updates.Execute marketing partnerships with regional and provincial Destination Marketing Organizations.Train and coach direct reports.Prepare and manage annual Consumer Marketing plan and budget.Participate in and/or execute special projects and key initiatives as assigned by the Marketing Director.Maintain a thorough understanding of key business initiatives, goals, and issues.Work closely with various departments and cross-functional working groups in support of business initiatives.Ensure all consumer campaigns and materials are aligned with the BC Ferries brand voice, style, and messaging guidelines, to provide customers with a consistent brand experience.What you bring to the team:A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Advertising, Economics, or related discipline.7-9 years of previous success building, leading and coaching a team or department of experienced marketing and/or communication professionals in an evolving environment.7-9 years of experience with the proven ability to effect positive change within an organization through the successful implementation of complex projects.7-9 years of experience in a large brand or ad/marketing agency setting, managing large-scale campaigns.Experience working with creative and media agencies is an asset.Experience within transportation or tourism sector is valued.Join us!If this sounds like your next great career move, please submit your

The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
