Position Purpose

Seeking world-class talent to join the world’s leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services operating 5,500+ locations and servicing more than 20,000 locations in the U.S and Canada. Specifically, this role will function as a researcher leading design efforts for one or more eCommerce or mobile products. Working with a highly talented team, you'll play a key role to design and build products for the customer of the world’s largest automotive and industrial replacement parts distribution companies.

We’re looking for a strong mixed methods Staff User Experience Researcher who can help us discover insights that shape our next evolution. You will help guide research strategy, vision, and execution through your authoritative expertise. While this is an individual contributor role, you serve not only as a sophisticated practitioner, but also as a consultant, mentor, and advocate for UX Research.

Responsibilities

Work with fellow researchers, designers, product teams, and other partners to devise sound research strategies and timelines. Provide ongoing management of these efforts.Plan, conduct, analyze, and report research as needed at an expert level. Generate advanced insights that influence product strategy, feature design, and prioritization.Evangelize and promote user research to senior leaders. Educate leadership on the value of research, its best practices, and how to be critical consumers of user research.Develop and implement surveys, questionnaires, and other quantitative research instruments to gather data about user behavior and experience.Analyze quantitative data using statistical methods and tools, such as SPSS, R, or Python, and present findings in an easy-to-understand format to cross-functional teams.Partner with other Researchers to set the standards for research strategy, methods, and reporting.Collaborate with other research functions (CX and Marketing).Occasional travel for research studies.Other duties as assigned.

Location:

GPC has two work locations to choose from, Duluth or Atlanta office.We offer a Flexible Work Policy that permits eligible employees to work remotely.

Desired Qualifications & Experiences

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, human-computer interaction, human factors, sociology) required. Master's or Ph.D. in a related field preferred.8+ years’ experience in applied product/design research.Exceptional track record of conducting research for large scale, complex projects and delivering transformative insights.Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, data analysis techniques, and best practices for conducting user research. Expertise in research study design principles.Provide authoritative subject matter expertise on an area or set of areas of particular focus, such as a set of methodologies or area of user psychology.Proven experience representing and evangelizing user research to business partners, especially senior leaders.Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.Experience using remote usability platforms e.g. UserZoom, UserTesting.
