Project Homeless Connect (PHC) strengthens and builds partnerships with city agencies, businesses, and other organizations to offer comprehensive services to individuals at risk of homelessness, those currently experiencing homelessness, or those transitioning to permanent housing. Our program model includes large-scale, single-day events and a daily service program that provides drop-in care, appointments, mobile services, and opportunities for partner services at the same location. The Fund Development-Marketing Specialist will work closely with PHC’s leadership to create and maintain the organization’s long-term development plan. This role involves organizing fund development and brand recognition efforts, nurturing donor relationships, coordinating outreach, and executing grant writing and fund development activities. The Specialist will also be responsible for securing event sponsorships and expanding the network of individual and corporate donors. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about ending homelessness in San Francisco.Essential Job Functions:

Attend networking events as required to enhance brand visibility.Join ED in speaking engagements and corporate presentations.Contribute to fostering a positive workplace environment.Collaborator - Emphasizes team accountability, constructive feedback, and effective collaboration.Resilient and professional - Maintains composure during stressful situations, showcases adaptability, and easily navigates changes.Skilled decision-maker: Systematically collects, analyzes, and evaluates data to make informed decisions while upholding commitments and responsibilities.Coordinate and secure Community Day of Service (CDoS) sponsorships.Responsible for coordination and management of auctions for fundraising events.Confirm that all Sponsorship Agreements are met, including but not limited to promotional agreements, social media posts, and newsletter/printing recognition.Co-planning and coordination of PHC’s fundraising events.Manage event database, including ticket sales, auctions, and other registrations.Assist with event set-up, teardown, and other event-related logistics.Follow up post-fundraising events with significant contributors.Co-coordination of community fundraising events.Participate in research and pitches to vendors, venues, and presenters.Other items as needed with the Executive Director.PHC Brand

Adhere to and enforce social media policies and procedures.Respond to inquiries submitted through social media platforms.Update and create content for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.Promote the PHC brand through graphic design.Create promotional materials and SWAG!Research and track potential marketing opportunities and create pitches on behalf of PHC.Grants

Lead grant research and opportunities.Write small – mid-level grants.Track grant reports and impact results.Create a Grant Skeleton to ease the grant application process.Individual Donors

Manage donor database, including recording of contributions, meetings between donors, and progress reports.Donor correspondence and thank you (including letters, calls, and emails) for online donations, grants, and corporate donations.Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors.In-Kind Donations

Accept in-kind donations on behalf of the agency.Promote online-specific in-kind needs through social media, news, etc.Provide tax deduction letters and thank you correspondences to donors.Administration

Support the ED and the other PHC Managers through monthly and annual reporting.Execute day-to-day routine fund development tasks.Salesforce data entry and reports.Prepare monthly development updates and reports.Create an annual agency development plan.Effective communicator - Adept at written and verbal communication, ensuring clarity, impact, and effective stakeholder interaction.Exceptional organizational and time management skills - Combines impeccable punctuality, prioritizing and executing tasks efficiently.Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills. A bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, or a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training may substitute for education.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

At least four years of professional work experience in fund development.Flexible with adaptability in fast-moving, time-sensitive work environments.Skilled multi-tasker with the ability to manage directives from multiple staff members.Knowledgeable about social issues concerning homelessness and disenfranchised groups.Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with visitors/callers and staff with patience, courtesy, and decorum.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Organized, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.Track record of successful donor management and fundraising campaign management.Strong computer, online, and social media skills, especially with FB, IG, X, Canvas.Preferred skills include grant writing, fundraising event planning, and individual donor cultivation.Familiarity with essential office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).This position requires the ability to sit for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 35 pounds and require traveling to Project Homeless Connect event sites.Benefits:
