RegularWhat We're Looking For:The time is right to join HNTB’s growing Design Build (DB) Organization! We are seeking candidates for a DB Project Design Director position with demonstrated experience on fast-paced transportation infrastructure projects. This Design Director role is a key member of DB project leadership teams responsible for accomplishing HNTB’s 4 for 4 performance objectives: quality work, on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction.This opportunity entails leading the development and execution of the project management plan while building and maintaining effective and meaningful client relationships. This position serves as a project leader, responsible for managing and delivering all aspects of one or more mega ($5M+) and/or super mega ($25M+) projects including technical aspects, operations, contracting, project controls, quality, risk, and change management. The DB Project Design Director implements the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.What You'll Do:Develop and nurture key client relationships and be the primary company contact on assigned projects.Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.Responsible for financial performance on projects, proactively managing cash, budget, schedule, and project scope.Set priorities, obtain commitments, and engage required resources through collaboration with Group Directors, Department Managers, and/or Section Managers.Collaborate with office and division leadership to solve challenges and ensure business objectives are met.Supervise and mentor team members to achieve overall project objectives, overseeing project staffing.Lead pursuits of mega projects and actively participate in pursuit teams for super mega projects.Prepare proposal and presentation materials, leading interviews and presentations to clients.Perform other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 12 years of relevant experience, including 4 years of experience successfully managing and delivering mega and/or super mega projects.What We Prefer:20 years of relevant experience.Professional Engineer (PE) certification.American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.Additional Information:Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Locations:Bellevue, WA (Seattle), Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Indianapolis, IN, Kansas City, MO, Los Angeles, CA (Figueroa Street), New York, NY, Santa Ana, CA (Irvine), Seattle, WA (Downtown)Compensation:The approximate pay range for New York is $206,292.13 - $411,914.48. Actual compensation will depend on factors including qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.Job Type:
