Under direction of the Vice President, the Senior Director, Business Communications is responsible for managing strategy, planning and execution for all communications related to the interpretation and successful completion of annual and long-term goals for the US Pharmaceutical, Animal Health and Supply Chain teams. This includes, but is not limited to: operations, customer, internal and leadership communications initiatives and activities related to the commercial teams they support. This role requires an experienced leader who will guide the development, execution, and evolution of a strategic business communication program that align, inspire and engage team members around the enterprise strategy and priorities.This position would ideally be a hybrid role based out of our Conshohocken, PA office (consideration will be given for highly qualified candidates not located in the local area).Serves as a strategic communications leader and advisor for senior members of commercial business groups - supporting multiple senior-level leadersInterprets the Cencora strategy to create messaging that is cascaded throughout the segment/function teams, incorporated into presentations and other communications in support of the successful completion of commercial objectivesLeads a team that is responsible for executing segment/BU/market-level customer and internal messaging, change management activities and strategic initiatives-provides strategic direction and guidance as needed to support the teamSuccessfully manage team as they navigate a new operating model and provide best practices for working in a matrix organizationIndividual will be a part of the business communications leadership team, providing connectivity, input and feedback into enterprise projects and initiativesDevelops annual and long-term group communications strategy in collaboration with enterprise and business communications goalsWorks cross functionally with various teams to provide communications guidance for key projects and initiatives that will ensure the successful completion of short and long-term commercial goals.Serves as a communications advisor on solution development, events and programs, often serving as a member of special project teams or their steering committeesPerforms related duties as assignedWhat your background should look like

Requires training in fields such as communications, journalism, English or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and educationRequires a minimum of 8-10 years directly related and progressively responsible internal communications experience.Strong candidates are communications professionals with experience driving organizational communications for business-related programsA successful candidate will have a deep commitment to customer service, consultative approach to communications and strong interpersonal skills required to operate well in a team environmentDemonstrated ability in leading culturally diverse teamsExperience working in global, matrixed organizations that are undergoing change and transformationMust be highly resourceful, self-motivated, and adaptive to changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentMeticulous detail orientation, with excellent follow through and follow upAbility to identify and proactively manage risks to the successful execution of business short- and long-term strategyExcellent organizational skillsSuperior oral and written communications skills#LI-FS1What Cencora offers
