This position will be based in our Stamford, CT office with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days a week in office).Octagon is looking for a Senior Event Executive to focus on the development and execution of programming for payment services issuing bank and merchant clients. Activities can include experiential activation, digital experiences, and creative ideation. This position involves working cross-functionally with client business units to develop compelling sponsorship programs to drive marketing objectives.This position requires excellent communication and time management skills, acute attention to detail, organization, and client management. The ideal candidate solves problems independently, thrives in a team environment, and enjoys implementing programs that align with a mix of different sponsorship verticals.THE WORK YOU’LL DOKey member of the Issuer and Merchant Marketing Team (shared role across 2 similar teams)Helps develop concepts and marketing platforms that use sponsorship resources with specific bank and merchant partners for either in-person or digital programsWork with internal work-stream managers to collaborate on sponsorship activation and implement ideasHave a passion for sports, entertainment, and culinary verticalsAssist in the planning, development, and execution of various marketing programs, ensuring timelines and client expectations are metHelp manage budgets and finances related to programsPrepare formal documentation for projects including program overviews, recap summaries, agency POV, budgets, and sell-in presentationsOther related duties as reasonably assignedWHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR3+ years of sponsorship/brand marketing experienceKnowledge and understanding of sponsorship managementExcellent communication skills, both written and oralStrong interpersonal skillsExceptional client serviceSuperior organizational skills, careful attention to details, and the ability to multi-taskStrong ability to work as part of a team and under pressureCollaborative in nature with a “no job is too small” demeanor to assist with overall account team duties and additional programs as neededExperience managing and maintaining a budget or budgetsAbility to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
