Job Summary:The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Learning and Development Training Specialist is responsible for the needs assessment and identification; research and development; implementation, maintenance and coordination; communication; improvement; and evaluation of comprehensive learning and development initiatives.SCF programs serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and needs of this population to achieve SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree; OR equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.Two (2) years of experience supervising a team of eight (8) or more employees; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Supervisor II at SCF.Additional Qualifications for Manager II:

Meets all requirements of Manager I in addition to the following:Two (2) years of demonstrated experience as a Manager of a department or program which may include functions like hiring, performance management, budget, strategic planning and/or improvement; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Manager I at SCF.Native Preference:Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.Employee Health Requirements:Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment. You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment. Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position require that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
