POSITION TITLE:

INSTITUTIONAL MARKETING & GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS LEAD

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the Institutional Marketing & Global Communications Lead at Chiquita Fresh North America, you will oversee all aspects of the organization’s corporate communications, public relations, and brand messaging. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance Chiquita’s brand reputation, strengthen our corporate messaging, and engage key partners and stakeholders, driving positive public perception. This position reports to the Marketing Director Americas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop strategies and implement marketing plans focused on corporate and institutional segments to achieve business objectives.

Lead the development of brand positioning strategies that resonate with corporate clients and institutional stakeholders.

Manage corporate communications, including media relations, executive messaging, social media, and crisis communications specific to corporate partnerships and institutional engagements.

Spearhead global institutional guidelines and playbooks, including crisis management protocols and training, and onboard different market teams.

Contribute to the global brand-building campaign as the global PR lead.

Facilitate public relations execution for the Americas.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling marketing collateral, thought leadership content, and campaigns tailored to corporate and institutional audiences. Handle media inquiries and interviews.

Act as a coordinator of all international agencies, ensuring consistency of message and leveraging global content across all markets.

Oversee the execution of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives that enhance brand reputation and resonate with institutional stakeholders.

Develop and execute internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement in alignment with corporate goals.

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and inform marketing strategies.

Partner with other global functions to coordinate and direct sustained internal communications programs and contribute to the implementation of best practice internal communications capabilities in the form of events, digital, and written communication channels.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of corporate marketing initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Cultivate strong relationships with corporate clients, institutional partners, and industry associations to strengthen market presence and drive business development efforts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field; MBA preferred.

Proven experience in strategic communications and/or impact communications, with a minimum of 10 years in a similar role, working for a global organization.

Collaborative and clear communicator with a proactive mindset. Strong media experience working with journalists and established relationships with global media covering sustainability and impact.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners in a global organization.

Ability to grasp fast-moving, complex information and distill it into impactful communications under tight timelines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.

Strong writing skills with sharp attention to detail.

Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve exceptional results. Builds connections by prioritizing people and fostering trusting relationships.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. Candidate may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal. Candidate may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday. Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.

This position requires satisfactory passing of a drug test in accordance with Florida Statute § 440.102.
