This individual will lead retention and lifecycle marketing strategies that build customer relationships and increase customer activity in our stores and on our websites. The Director will lead and motivate a high-performing team responsible for our email and SMS channels. Execution in these channels includes marketing, triggered and lead-nurturing communication in support of our rental and retail business for our four banners.What You’ll Do | Key AccountabilitiesDevelop and execute strategies that maximize store and web traffic and drive revenue through retention and promotional marketing programs.Leverage data insights and analytics to define and build audience segmentation and direct marketing strategies.Develop journeys that align with our customer relationship objectives and enhance the customer experience.Develop email channel optimization capabilities and tactics to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our customer communication.Design and implement testing strategies to understand customer behavior including deeper understanding of creative and messaging preferences and engagement drivers. Translate test results into future strategies.Define, build and manage plans and forecasts to deliver on business goals. Align channel budgets accordingly and continually monitor to optimize ROI.Collaborate closely with Marketing Strategy, Acquisition Media and CRM teams to align targeted customer strategies and communication as part of our integrated marketing efforts.Be the channel expert and monitor industry trends to identify new strategies, tools and vendors to help improve technologies and capabilities.Leverage automation tools across our site and marketing channels to improve customer relevance and campaign effectiveness.Improve processes to drive production efficiencies, streamline tasks and free up time for innovation and testing.Partner with our Marketing Technology team to define and implement enabling technologies.Manage team of direct reports, providing direction, coaching and overall support that align and inspire the team collectively to deliver on our business goals.What You’ll Bring | Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Marketing, MBA preferred.12+ years of Customer Relationship Marketing, Direct Marketing, Email Marketing, or Ecommerce experience; retail experience preferred.Experience with Omni-Channel marketing.Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and Email Service Provider integration.Experience leveraging a cross-brand Loyalty platform across email and SMS preferred.Experience with leveraging personalization tools to drive increased conversion (Salesforce, Bluecore, Liveclicker, etc).Strong business acumen and the ability to synthesize and analyze data to identify trends and marketing opportunities.Strategic thinker with the ability to clearly articulate and implement a focused plan and to collaborate with teams.Strong leadership skills and experience working with C-level executives with the ability to influence, work collaboratively, and gain consensus across a large organization.Demonstrated ability to implement programs through effective use of communication skills in formal and informal settings.Energetic and inspirational team leader with direct reporting management experience in identifying, coaching and mentoring high performers.Please note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Other compensation may include a 20% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy.
