Interiors Department Leader – Senior Interior DesignerLocation:

You'll collaborate closely with our architectural team, guiding projects from concept to completion while mentoring the team and ensuring seamless integration of design elements. Not only will you manage design projects, but you will also develop the standards to fully integrate the architecture and interiors in the studio. This role calls for a creative designer who has a keen eye for design and can truly integrate the drawing's specifications into our drawing sets to create very detailed, well-thought-out drawings.If you are looking for a team with whom you can push the norms, try new directions, provide interior design guidance, and help fuse and blur the lines between architecture and interior design, this is the opportunity for you.Key Responsibilities:

Lead Interior Design Projects: Collaborate closely with our architectural team to produce and integrate comprehensive interior design specifications. This includes developing detailed furniture packages and working directly with contractors to ensure seamless construction integration.Innovative Design Solutions: Drive the creative process by developing design concepts that align with our firm’s vision for sustainable and community-centered projects. Your designs will help shape environments that promote well-being and connectivity.Mentorship & Collaboration: As a senior team member, you will mentor and train the architecture team and junior designers, fostering a collaborative environment where architectural and interior design teams work together seamlessly. Your leadership will be key in creating a unified process that ensures the best outcomes for our clients.Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, typically managing 4-6 projects in the design phase and 3-4 under construction. Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet the highest quality standards.Qualifications

Interior Design Degree or Architecture Degree with interior design experience5 years of interior design experienceProficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop; experience with Illustrator is a plus, or other software to produce specificationsA keen eye for design and the willingness to work in both modern and traditional styles.Ability to work cross-functionally alongside our team to create dynamic, livable spaces for our clients to call homeDemonstrated ability to produce design specifications, present ideas to the team and clients, and assist clients in selecting appliances, plumbing fixtures, hardware, decorative lighting, color selections, etc.Ability to work on multiple projects with simultaneous timelines.Ability to work collaboratively and assist with teaching, training, and creating a process where the architecture and interior team work seamlessly togetherExcellent communication skills with clients, vendors, and team membersAbility to travel when needed to project sitesCompensation and Benefits
