Summary:

The

Associate Manager, NA Marketing

is responsible for all aspects of marketing including portfolio management, new product development, planning, implementation, and execution of the go-to-market strategy for their assigned segment. The Associate Manager will serve as the subject matter expert in all marketing-related activities through various channels with the objective of driving and attaining high sales figures and executing sustainable growth plans and strategies.

The Associate Manager will report to the NA Marketing Manager and will be responsible for developing and managing growth strategies and all marketing activities for their assigned segment.

The Associate Manager will develop and prioritize a deep understanding of the problems facing end users in their segment of responsibility. The person in this role will work cross-functionally to develop appropriate solutions for those problems that will establish SCJP as a best-in-class partner and ultimately position the company for sustainable long-term growth. The candidate must enjoy and prioritize spending time in the market to understand customer issues and finding innovative solutions that will appeal to the market overall.

The person must also be prepared to live the company values daily and act with transparency and integrity always.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive the development and implementation of the annual and long-term strategies for their assigned segment, designed to facilitate the consistent delivery of profitable growth.

Lead the development of a robust segmentation analysis for their assigned segment that identifies opportunity spaces for SCJP to target.

Ensure a clear, simple articulation of the value proposition in their segment.

Put understanding and serving the end user in their segment at the core of everything they do.

Mine and analyze data to generate key insights that will enable the sales organization to engage end users effectively.

Assess competition and their offerings relative to SCJP’s offerings to identify areas for improvement.

Develop an overall pricing architecture/philosophy for products in their segment.

Work with Product Marketing to manage the product portfolio overall and the entire product life cycle.

More specifically, work with Product Manager to drive the product innovation process, including clear assessments of gaps in the current portfolio relative to end user needs.

Work with Communications to ensure proper support materials and messaging to effectively communicate product relevance/value proposition to the market.

Manage the design and delivery of sales training plans and materials pertaining to their segment.

Participate actively and drive lead generation initiatives to support customer acquisition and retention.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

5+ years of successful related business experience, preferably in product marketing.

University degree or equivalent in a related field.

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

B2B experience preferred.

Demonstrated success working as an integral cross-functional team member.

Comprehensive understanding of product marketing and planning processes.

Strong cross-functional management skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with graphic design software.

Job Requirements:

This position sits onsite in our Charlotte, NC office. Remote work is available one day per week after 90 days for eligible employees.

This position is not eligible for relocation.
