Procedures: Performs a variety of technical procedures according to national standards and IA protocols.

Documentation: Responsible for accurately completing records, daily quality assurance and improvement information, meeting regulatory standards.

Equipment: Calibrates, maintains and troubleshoots equipment. Optimizes equipment and supplies to benefit operations.

Supplies and Inventory: Stocks work area daily. May be involved in ordering and stocking general supplies.

Safety and Education: Complies with national radiation standards (ALARA). Completes education necessary to maintain licensure or certification required for position.

Communication: Communicates with physicians and other members of the team concerning patient status, diagnosis, or related information. Operates multiple communication and telecommunication systems. Coordinates scheduling for diagnostic exams. Communicates with team members by regular participation in staff meetings.

Implements care/service that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.

Technologist - Day in the Life

Imaging Associates, a best-in-class outpatient imaging center in Alaska, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for our Palmer location. Imaging Associates is proud to offer expert imaging technology and an entire team of sub-specialty radiologists. Our environment is relaxing and patient focused because our patients' health and well-being is our number one priority. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will have the opportunity to provide state of the art care to all patients by performing technical work involving the operation and maintenance of diagnostic x-ray equipment, including X-ray and C-arm. This professionally trained person will be responsible for producing x-ray images of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed according to established practices and procedures. This position requires working directly with radiologists and patients, and operating the associated equipment. Requires advanced technical knowledge and the ability to communicate and interact with the department radiologists in regard to x-ray sequences and protocols. This position, in addition to superb technical skills, will also require the ability to follow Imaging Associates’ service commitments to customers and fellow staff.

The candidate must be capable of displaying excellent customer service skills in every encounter. Candidate must have the ability to multi-task and work quickly with attention to detail. The Radiologic Technologist will apply the ALARA principle of radiation protection and evaluate radiographs for technical quality in accordance with industry best practices and departmental standards.

**Sign on bonus of $7,500 gross shall be paid on first payroll after hire.**- Current certification as ARRT (R) or Registry Eligible

- BLS required

- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and co-workers

- Demonstrate ability to be productive independently or in a team environment

- Previous experience operating C-Arm for non-surgical procedures
