Role Summary

This role is a part of the Alaska Airlines marketing team and is responsible for defining the overall strategy for the employer branding function including management of recruitment marketing. The employer brand manager will develop and activate on our employer brand marketing and communication strategy, helping us deliver compelling and engaging content that authentically represents our brand, our culture and why Alaska and Horizon are great places to work. This role will partner with the People Team on our employee value proposition (EVP) work and develop marketing strategies that enhance our reputation as an employer, driving connection to both our brand and purpose in creating an airline people love. This role will exercise independent judgement and initiative in managing the program on a daily basis. The ideal candidate has marketing and communications experience and is a master storyteller with a solid understanding of employer brand and recruitment marketing.

Key Duties

Define long-term strategic marketing and communication plan for the employer branding function with 12-month horizon.

Identify, develop and amplify storytelling opportunities that showcase what it’s like to work at Alaska and Horizon – differentiating us from other employers.

Grow awareness of our employer brand through content ownership of our career site and other relevant platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, etc).

Partner with the Sr. Recruitment Marketing Specialist and the talent acquisition team on recruitment marketing campaigns, developing content that consistently communicates our employee value proposition in Alaska’s voice and tone.

Collaborate closely with our social media team to enhance engagement on social channels and develop distribution opportunities for unique content.

Lead audience segmentation efforts to ensure we are developing personalized content that resonates and engages our target audiences.

Collaborate with the diversity, equity and inclusion team to ensure our commitment to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone belongs is embedded in storytelling across all channels.

Partner with corporate communications stakeholders to identify internal content that could be leveraged on other channels for employer brand storytelling.

Identify and develop a system for measuring and reporting outcomes on campaign and content performance.

Support other brand marketing projects and programs as needed to meet overall brand marketing objectives and goals.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

7 years of experience developing employer brand marketing plans that drive awareness and engagement.

Bachelor's degree in marketing and/or communications, or an additional 2 years of training/experience in lieu of degree.

Social and digital media management experience with a focus on employer brand channels.

Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills with a focus on delivering marketing strategies and plans to a variety of internal audiences/organizations.

Experience working with creative studio teams and/or agencies to develop visual content including video production.

Exceptional collaboration skills and passion for continuous improvement.

Experience managing and meeting objectives on-time and within budget

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Minimum age of 18.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

3 years experience with employer branding, recruitment marketing and/or brand marketing.

2 years leadership experience

Project and vendor management experience

Salary Range

$117,500 - $176,300 / year

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

Note:

We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
