Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking a talented event marketing specialist who will be responsible for executing in-person and online marketing events in the US and Canada.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for you to play a key role in an exciting, fast growing business. As an Event Marketing Specialist you are responsible for delivering customer events that result in meaningful pipeline and revenue for the AWS North America business. You will be responsible for managing event logistics and ensuring all events meet a high bar of quality and customer obsession.

Key job responsibilities

Program management including the creation of work-back schedules across a complex stakeholder map to ensure on-time and high-caliber event delivery.

Contracts with event vendors, negotiates budget, ensures on-time payment.

Onsite event support.

Contributes to event strategy documents outlining event objective, audience target, date, location, goals, budget, etc.

Reports on event success metrics using Quicksight and Salesforce.

Sends internal communications about events to ensure awareness across sales and marketing.

Manages event core team meetings and recaps key action items.

Ad-hoc project ownership on administrative management, budgeting, reporting, process improvement, employee engagement, etc.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Experience in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using integrated campaigns to solve brand/business challenges

Bachelor's degree

Experience executing customer-facing marketing events for a B2B technology company

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $54,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $116,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
