Position Summary:The Library/Learning Commons Associate supports Library and Learning Center systems, provides high quality customer service to students, faculty, and the public, and oversees Learning Commons operations and student workers as needed. This position has the ability to use varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplaceEssential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Provide Learning Commons Desk coverage, and assist patrons with research and information technology questions.2. Manage and assist with the development and maintenance of the Library and Learning Centers service platforms, including, but not limited to LibApps and the Integrated Library System.3. Oversee student workers and the Learning Commons space and services in the absence of full-time Learning Commons administrators.4. Support the discovery, promotion, and management of the library collection.5. Ensure the daily maintenance and cleaning of the Learning Commons space.6. Manage and assist with the preparation and updating of library and learning center materials and resources, including fliers, digital audio/video, handouts, and technology.7. Perform and ensure the completion of clerical duties, including answering phones, making copies, inputting data, filing, restocking office supplies and printers, re-shelving books, and other assigned tasks.8. Assist the Library Services and Learning Center Services Directors with projects and duties supporting the mission and goals of the College, TLSS, and the Center for Teaching and Learning.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

1. AA Degree2. Two (2) years of customer service experience3. Experience using Microsoft Office SuiteDesired Qualifications:

1. Experience working in a community college setting2. Experience working in a Library setting3. Experience using and teaching others how to use digital, educational, and related information technologies4. Ability to interact positively and respectfully with a diverse population5. Ability to maintain a helpful, professional demeanor in a busy learning environment6. Fluency in a language other than EnglishWork Schedule:
