Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Mid-Level Cybersecurity Engineer position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented group of individuals committed to driving success.

This hybrid position, which includes up to 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week, is a 12-month term role with the possibility of renewal in six-month increments. The position provides direct support to Amazon Kuiper's Secure Network Operations Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering interactive models, including user interfaces and application outlines using sketches and diagrams. They will analyze software designs for usability, conduct user experience testing for final webpage and application designs, and work closely with development teams to address issues and implement effective solutions in support of the secure network operations center.

Skills / Experience Required

• 4+ years of experience in the following areas:
• Interactive model development
• Development of preliminary user interfaces
• Developing application outlines using sketches and diagrams
• Performing design analysis to identify usability issues and collect customer feedback to improve UI/UX design
• Analyzing existing design and creating usability upgrades
• Performing user experience testing

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in software/computer engineering, or similar technical field is required
• 4+ years of experience Software Development and Network Establishment

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
