This role is responsible for driving marketing initiatives that align with the mission, business objectives, and cultural values. The Director will oversee all aspects of marketing, including brand management, digital marketing, public relations, shareholder communications, and team leadership. This position will work closely with senior leadership to increase shareholder value, strengthen the Goldbelt brand, and promote cultural awareness.Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:Strategic Planning

Develop and execute marketing strategies to support business goals, shareholder engagement, and cultural promotion

Brand & Digital Management

Ensure consistent branding across all channels. Oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media, websites, email campaigns, and online advertising

Public Relations

Manage media relations and corporate communications, collaborate with the CEO on key messages, and lead the creation of marketing materialsDevelop and maintain communication strategies that effectively engage and inform shareholders, ensuring alignment with corporate goals

Team Leadership

Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering collaboration and innovation

Budget Management

Develop and manage the marketing budget to ensure effective resource allocation

Campaign Execution

Oversee events and campaigns, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery

Performance Monitoring

Track key performance metrics and continuously optimize strategies

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:Knowledge of ANCSA and Alaska Native Culture and HistoryAbility to think strategically and translate that thinking into action plans that accomplish goalsKnowledge of program administration including administering budgets, conducting customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfactionKnowledge with current and online marketing techniques and best practicesProven ability and willingness to be self-directed in problem solving and decision-making and perform basic assignment with little or no direct supervision while also working effectively as a team memberAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretionAbility to embrace change, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic corporate environmentSkill in working harmoniously within cross-functional teams to achieve common objectivesAbility to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlinesPossesses attention to detail and effective problem-solving skillsMust have the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers and with outside agencies, partners, shareholders, and business associatesStrong cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to adapt messages and strategies for diverse audiencesBasic understanding of relevant software, tools, and systems used in the corporate environment. This includes a proficiency in standard software applications, including Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field OR equivalent years of experienceMinimum of 7 years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership roleStrong experience in digital marketing, brand management, and public relationsProven ability to develop and implement successful marketing and communications strategiesProficiency in digital marketing platforms and MS Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:Master's degreePrevious experience working with Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) and previous exposure to Alaska Native culturesPrevious government contracting experiencePay and BenefitsAt Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
