What We’re Looking For

Banner Engineering has an opportunity for either a Mechanical Designer with an Associate's degree and 4+ years of mechanical design experience or a Mechanical Design Engineer with a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience who will work within a multidisciplinary team striving to maintain, improve, and design product fixtures and tools within their discipline.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design fixtures and test equipment to match line specifications as established by the project team and Manufacturing EngineeringWork closely with Manufacturing Engineers to identify fixture design requirementsDesign innovative, cost effective assembly fixtures with ergonomic efficient designIntegrate error-proofing techniques into assembly fixture designsCreate piece part drawings and complete activities required for document release, revision control, and fixture serviceabilityResearch, specify and source fixture components and assembliesAssemble fixtures, complete performance verification, and fully implement them into production for long-term use in our plantsProduce documentation that meet our accepted standardsInstall systems on-site as needed, and provide training to the manufacturing personnelQualifications

Required

Associate’s degree in Mechanical Drafting/Design or related field2+ years of mechanical design experienceKnowledge of solid modeling, preferably using CreoAbility to work on multiple projects and coordinate with multiple departments simultaneouslyPreferred

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related fieldWorking knowledge of fabrication processes, such as, injection molding, machining, metal forming, and die-castingExperience with AutoCAD design software, Windchill PDM system, and Adobe IllustratorFamiliarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)What We Offer
