OverviewJoin Esri and help pioneer the field of mapping and spatial analysis through design. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Designer passionate about user-centered and interaction design, with the ability to translate user insights into innovative AI-driven GIS solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with product owners, engineers, developers, and designers to enhance ArcGIS Pro with cutting-edge AI features. Your work will enable organizations to derive meaningful insights from geographic data through advanced spatial analysis, intelligent mapping visualizations, and seamless data management in 2D and 3D environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign AI features for ArcGIS Pro, ensuring they are user-friendly, impactful, and align with Esri's design standards. Your designs will enhance the user experience and drive innovation in our GIS applicationsConduct user research and usability testing to gather insights, validate design concepts, and ensure our solutions meet user needs and expectationsWork closely with product owners, engineers, developers, and other designers to ideate, prototype, and iterate on AI-driven solutions. Your collaborative efforts will ensure seamless integration and functionalityCreate comprehensive design specifications, including user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes, to effectively communicate design ideas and facilitate implementationStay current with industry trends and best practices in AI, UX, and GIS. Apply this knowledge to continuously improve our design processes and product offeringsConduct competitive analysis of existing products in the marketplace to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in our AI featuresLead design efforts from brainstorming and sketching to prototyping and implementation. Ensure all design work maintains a high standard of quality and aligns with project goalsAdvocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle. Ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience by considering user needs at every stage

Requirements5+ years of experience in product design, with an experience on AI features or technologiesAn online portfolio that demonstrates your design abilities, how you think, and a strong understanding of client objectivesExperience using Figma, Figma UI Kits, adhering to established pattern libraries and required frameworksExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholdersExperience conducting user research and usability testing; and translating findings into actionable design improvementsBachelor's in Product Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factor, or a related field

Recommended QualificationsMaster's in Product Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factor, or a related fieldKnowledge of GIS, spatial analysis, and data visualization is a plusEnterprise application design experienceExperience designing mapping applicationsFamiliarity with the ArcGIS platformExperience with accessibility and internationalizationUnderstanding of Microsoft's Win32 and UWP Design Guidelines

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $97,344—$166,608 USD
