The Associate Packaging Designer is responsible for assisting the Senior Packaging Designer in the design of packaging and display concepts for activewear within licensed brand guidelines from concept through final approved ready for press files. Creative solutions must effectively communicate product attributes within brand guidelines. This person will problem solve obstacles or challenges to keep design work on track, including limited development time. This is an opportunity to work on notable national activewear brands for a variety of retailers!Responsibilities:Work with Senior Packaging Designer, Marketing, and Design Teams to conceptualize, develop and implement design strategies across print and digital communicationsAct as a problem solver within the Graphic Design department to provide creative suggestions and advice to support a variety of projectsCreate and execute packaging & display mechanicals ready for press (rfp)Partner with Packaging Developers to ensure the integrity of the design is maintained during the packaging development processPhotograph product and retouch imagery as needed for packaging, e-commerce, and/or displaysExperience working with 2-D & 3-Dimensional Rendering of packaging and displaysCreate and adhere to brand identity guidelines, ensuring integrity within and across brands as relevantCollaborate with cross-functional teams such as Merchandising, Sales, etc.Assist in photo shoots as neededQualifications:2+ years of experience in packaging design and POS displaysExperience with licensed branding, and interpreting brand style guides for product extensionsBachelors in related fieldStrong sense of design, typography and colorStrong Adobe Creative Suite skills required (PHOTOSHOP/ILLUSTRATOR/INDESIGN)Familiarity with working with linked files/font sets and tracking image/font assets.Ability to create and work within specifications (die lines, image size restrictions, file weight restrictions)Strong creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization and design skillsExperience creating rfp (ready for print) mechanicalsExperience and/or knowledge of photography & photo re-touchingExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams to problem solveWillingness to learn and contribute ideas to our processEfficient time management skills to consistently deliver high quality work in a deadline driven environmentAnnual salary starting at $60,000The disclosed salary is commensurate with experience and does not reflect the total compensation package.
