The

Designer

will prepare assembly and detail drawings for bearings and related parts, using a CAD System, which will be shared with a variety of people including external customers / vendors and internal departments. The duties included are:Review and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and instructions (all design inputs). Must also apply the outputs provided by the engineer to the design function.Recognize areas of order-related concern and discuss those concerns with various personnel. Carefully monitor all order related changes to determine their impact on the design/drawings.Employ solid modeling techniques which are in accordance with company practices.Employ accepted drafting practices in which all drawing views, dimensions, and tolerances are clearly and accurately represented.Prepare a parts list while verifying that purchased items are available. When possible, suggest substitutes for items which are not available.Enter part numbers and create bills of material using the ERP system.Write engineering change notices, when necessary, to ensure that drawing errors are corrected and communicated to the appropriate individuals.Ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude with demonstrated CAD experience. Prior industry experience would be great but is not required. Your background will also include:An associate's degree in a related field, completion of a technical school, or related design and/or drafting experience.Prior experience as a Designer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
