In this role, an employee will be expected to develop and demonstrate proficiency in regards to the essential functions of the job found below.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide technical support on straight forward and complex distribution design scenarios. Utilize and learn engineering software packages to complete distribution design.Utilize distribution design expertise to determine routes and constructability of electrical and natural gas distribution line; considering environmental requirements, landowner concerns, and cost of construction.Design projects for make-ready "Joint Use Attachment"Applies knowledge of industry infrastructure and design expertise to efficiently assess potential project impediments, makes decisions and effectively expresses clear and concise details and options that address customer needs in balance with client's requirements.Remediates project site encroachments to prepare job for construction by effectively persuading customers concerning the activities required to achieve project.Applies effective interpersonal skills and empathy to effectively support customers through difficult decisions, persuading customers of critical activities required to achieve project completion.Interface with client and line construction crews.Complete site visits and field assessments required. Perform site walks.Communicate with Project Manager and Team Leader on workload status to meet designated chargeability goals.Must possess math and engineering skills to understand structural analysis, conductor sag analysis, basic algebra and geometry.Understand and able to follow up to date National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and client requirements.Must possess technical writing skills for project proposal, resume creation and reporting deliverables.Adherence to Atwell Product Quality Standards.Perform other duties as assigned.NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation and other design software is preferred.Independent thinker with the ability to learn new techniques and communicate with a team.Stay agile, flexible and look for efficiencies in design processes.Possess desire to learn, innovate, constantly improve.EDUCATION

Minimum of high school diploma.EXPERIENCE

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in designing utilities, developers, and/or communication companies.Experience in electrical distribution, natural gas distribution, and/or communications (fiber).#LI-TK1
