We’re a small and elite team of filmmakers and creatives who love sharing our talent with these organizations to tell their stories to the world.
We're currently looking for a Senior Producer with extensive experience in the production of diverse non-fiction video projects, that exudes creativity, is passionate about filmmaking, and knows the value of teamwork.
For this role, we are looking for someone who has demonstrated an ability to produce major, high-profile video projects from start to finish with a positive, collaborative, and "can-do" attitude. You should have the ability to assess client goals, develop suitable video strategies, present creative concepts and effectively take on any producing or pre-production task necessary on a project.
You will be working directly with clients, collaborating closely with our Creative Director and guiding teams of creatives, so strong communication, proactive problem-solving, and time management skills are a must. And, a quirky sense of humor and love of laughing aren’t required, but they’ll surely help.
Responsibilities
Pre-Production
Work directly with clients and Creative Director to identify and address objectives and strategies
Independently and collaboratively develop creative concepts, outlines, scripts, and storylines for new projects
Work with the Creative Team to prepare logistics, scheduling, and travel arrangements for in-person and remote shoots
Handle multiple clients and projects at a time across different phases of production with strong multitasking skills
Effectively communicate ongoing project status and manage relationships with client
Production
Independently lead and direct production crews in the field
Manage top-level, on-camera talent, which often includes government officials, executives, and celebrities
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of production tools and processes
Utilize innovative technologies to remotely film interviews and other video content using remote production equipment
Post-Production
Guide projects through post-production with internal 5:00 Films staff and freelancers
Work directly with clients through the post-production process to manage timelines, expectations, feedback, revisions, delivery, and project close out.

Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a creative agency or production company
Bachelor’s degree in video production (or equivalent experience)
Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to two weeks at a time
Knowledge of emerging media trends and digital technologies
Ability to communicate ideas effectively to all stakeholders
Must be able to work in Columbia, MD office at least two days a week
Strong strategy, concept development and storytelling skills
Competent understanding of production equipment and principles
Familiarity with post-production principles, processes, and workflows.
Strong time management and communication skills
Compensation Package
Base Salary: $80,000
Bonuses: Bonuses are paid out based on company performance. Tenured senior staff generally earn $10,000-20,000 in profit sharing bonus each year.
