Westwood Professional Services,Inc. is looking to expand our services in the state of Wisconsin, and weare recruiting for a Senior Designer to join our transportation serviceteam. In Wisconsin, we have offices in Appleton and Madison but are opento expanding our team in other areas of the state. Our ideal candidatewill have 10 or more years of roadway design experience supportingpublic sector projects. Duties and Responsibilities Work as a key memberof a roadway design team under the direction of various projectengineers/managers. Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Workwith a team in the preparation of plans and cost estimates for projectsof various size and complexity Lead the preparation of various roadwaydesign elements using local (state, county or city) and/or AASHTOstandards, including horizontal and vertical alignments; plan andprofile; utility design and relocation; streetscape and roadwayimprovements; bicycle and pedestrian facilities; signing, striping, andsignalization. Prepare detailed construction drawings using AutodeskCivil 3D Produce high-quality work and perform quality assurance checksCoordinate with other disciplines and support services Identifyapplicable codes, standards, or other design requirements Supervise thework of less experienced technical support personnel Mentor and traintechnical support personnel Ensures division, regional, and companyvalues, policies, and practices are consistently followed within thesurvey service. Lead by example - display solid judgment, good values,trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism. Required Experience (TextOnly) - 10+ years experience in roadway design - High school graduate orequivalent - Technical degree or certification in Autodesk Civil3D -Expert in Autodesk Civil3D and Bluebeam - Proficient in Microsoft Officeapplications - Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meetproject deadlines - Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to apositive work environment - Ability to work independently and as part ofa team About Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
