JOB SUMMARY:

The Utah Hockey Club is seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our Content Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies that align with the Utah Hockey Club's goals and objectives. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, best practices, and analytics. You will oversee all social media content, fan engagement, and campaigns across UHC platforms, working to enhance the Club's social media presence. The ideal candidate will bring a social-first mindset, creative thinking, and a willingness to try new things. You will oversee all social media content, fan engagement, and social brand campaigns across UHC platforms. This position will also work with the Content Producer/Editor to supplement content needs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Social Media Strategy:

With Director of Content, develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the club's goals and objectives, focusing on fan engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth.Content Creation:

Create, curate, and manage high-quality, engaging content (including copy/text, images, videos, and graphics) for all social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and others.Social Media Copywriting:

creates social media copy tailored for various platforms like Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and TikTok.Community Management:

Actively monitor and engage with followers, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner to foster a strong online community.Game Day Coverage:

Provide real-time social media coverage during home & away games, including live-tweeting, posting updates, and capturing behind-the-scenes content to keep fans engaged.Analytics & Reporting:

Track and analyze social media performance using internal tools. Provide regular reports on key metrics, trends, and insights to inform future strategies.Campaign Management:

Plan and execute social media campaigns, including paid promotions and partnerships, to drive ticket sales, merchandise purchases, and event attendance.Collaboration:

Work closely with the marketing, communications, and creative teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all digital channels. Also works with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely coverage of events. Is able to build strong interpersonal relationships with athletes and other front office staff.Trend Monitoring:

Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and recommend new strategies to keep the Utah Hockey Club at the forefront of digital innovation.Compliance:

2+ years of professional experience managing large-scale social media accounts, preferably within the sports industry.Proven track record of growing and managing social media channels with a large following.Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.Proficiency in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and experience with social media management tools like Sprout, Sprinklr, etc.Experience and interest in photography skills are a plus.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the game schedule.Has a proactive, hands-on approach to tasks, with a keen ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to create original content with little instruction.Passion for hockey and knowledge of the sport is highly desirable and preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
