Our Power Delivery group is seeking a Senior Substation Designer to join our Orlando, FL, Kennesaw, GA, Nashville (Madison), TN, or Dallas, TX office. In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate and contribute toward complex projects in both a design and project leadership capacity, interfacing with our current and future customers directly while working on challenging and exciting low to high voltage substation projects.Responsibilities

Perform conceptual and detailed 4kV - 500 kV substation physical design. Typical design deliverables include one line drawings, three line drawings, general arrangement drawings, section and plan views, conduit and cable plan & schedule, grounding plan and foundation plan drawings.Perform physical and P&C design in MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools.Coordinate projects with different teams for Protection & Controls, Structural, Civil, Transmission, and Design/Drafting teams.Work closely with peers to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of electrical design that will meet client and industry standards and specifications and meet good engineering practices.Provide on-site technical support for select ENERCON clients during construction and commissioning as required.Assist lead engineers and project team in developing project cost estimates, schedules, and budgets.Perform quality control checks on small to medium sized substation physical engineering projects.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Associate's Degree (or equivalent education & experience) and a minimum of 8 years of experience OR Bachelor Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 4 years of experience.Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or Bluebeam.Willingness to enter energized electric substations with proper training and PPE.Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time, including travel for project and marketing meetings as well as to clients' construction sites, requiring a valid driver's license and access to a car.Self-driven in time management to meet deadlines and provide accurate deliverables.Proficient with typical office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows.Additional Information
