Overview & Responsibilities:

The Producer is responsible for program development, creative and editorial direction, and programming block hours, working with editorial management for the content vision of CBS Sports Digital, in particular, but not limited to SportsLine content. Oversee day-to-day editorial for program hours and coordinate content integration across platforms. We bring our passion for sports, knowledge of sports gambling and love of our work, serving up sports content to fans everywhere, and this role will help us succeed in that mission!SportsLine content is a part of CBS Sports HQ, which is a free 24/7 streaming platform for highlights, analysis and breaking news.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Produce, script, and lead all aspects in execution of segments for daily SportsLine content that helps viewers understand the night in sports from a gambling perspective.Collaborate with SportsLine experts to deliver the best news and betting storylines that help shape the sports gambling landscape each day.Partner with our SportsLine editorial team to learn more about available content and deliver ideas that can work on all digital platforms.Build and create show rundowns using Ross Inception.Maintain an ongoing and close coordination with Master Control and Digital Line Producers.Recognize and be prepared for breaking news at a competitive pace (both from a gambling perspective as well as news content).Identify betting trends and analysis that can help shape SportsLine content both within the SportsLine show plus all of CBS Sports HQ.Produce and/or assist on the 6p SportsLine show as well as any related SportsLine show or CBS Sports HQ shows.Work with our SportsLine Social team to create content throughout the digital medium to share on all platforms.Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in video production, media arts, communications, broadcasting, sports management, or combination of education/training with relevant experience equivalent.4-6 years experience at a senior level, including running control room, stacking a rundown, juggling live breaking news, strong writing and copyediting skills.Prefer at least 3 years of Line Producing experience.Have a strong knowledge of the sports gambling space (don’t have to be a sports gambler but one who understands the terminology and can speak intelligently about wagering on sports).Have a strong knowledge of major and minor league sports.Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.The schedules will rotate, but must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and overnights and holidays.Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shifts with little or no notice if needed.Must thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.Exceptional editorial skills.Possess ability to develop story ideas, research, and plan segments.
