Excellent internal and external customer service skills with the ability to foster productive working relations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including phone skills for distributed projects and internal/external meetings.Strong writing skills, including the ability to write accurate and effective scorer training and to coach staff on quality annotations and scoring decisions.Strong content-specific knowledge with the ability to develop, coach, and supervise content staff.Clear understanding of scoring concepts such as frequency distribution, validity, and calibration.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google tools.Ability to supervise large groups of employees in various roles.Strong initiative, organizational, and leadership skills, including the ability to prioritize and make sound decisions under tight deadlines.Ability to maintain a confidential work environment.Preferred Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Scoring Director preferred.Experience as a Content Specialist across multiple assessment projects.Background in educational measurement and knowledge of assessment industry.Experience directing both synchronous and distributed supervisors.Excellent understanding of scoring systems and reports.Advanced degree in education, English, mathematics, science, or language.Teaching experience in grades K-12.Knowledge of project management tools desired.Basic Purpose and Objectives

Manages scoring services scope for assigned projects and acts as a content/subject area expert.Overall Functions and Responsibilities

Works with scoring project manager to complete quality management plans and documentation.Supports project managers in analyzing and implementing solutions to scoring issues.Functions as Content Specialist on multiple projects.Plans content hours for assigned projects.Guides and trains scoring directors for future content roles.Conducts coaching for scoring directors as needed.Ensures proper documentation and archival of all scoring decisions.Monitors reports to verify quality expectations and project timelines.Compiles reports on assigned activities as requested.Pearson values diversity and inclusion, promoting a culture where differences are embraced and opportunities are accessible.
