Job Description Wasserman is looking for an experienced social media strategist who will work in a leadership position as part of the company's global marketing and communications division, leading the company's social media department. This role will serve as Wasserman's 'chief storyteller' in the digital space, primarily focused on strategic planning and execution for the company's channels and sub-brands. The candidate will primarily manage or co-manage a team of six full-time social media managers and work closely with the corporate design team, as well as the CMO and SVP of Marketing and Communications. Day-to-Day Duties Include: Create and execute a strategy to help tell Wasserman's story in the social space with compelling content, while maintaining an appropriate, unique, and consistent voice, tone and point-of-view. Help guide the public perception of Wasserman and ensure the company continues to be globally known and culturally relevant in the sports, music, entertainment and marketing industries. Ensure social media guidelines and best practices for the company are being enforced, with the aim of supporting Wasserman's mission and core values, and ultimately strengthen the brand. Establish a process to conduct regular reporting of KPIs to evaluate the performance of the channels, share findings with internal constituents, and make suggestions based off this analysis. Oversee a team of six across North America and EMEA, who manage 70 company accounts across Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Facebook. Work with senior executives and agents across sports, music, entertainment, brands & properties, and corporate divisions to support their vision and ensure healthy, active feeds that are additive to Wasserman's business and reputation in the marketplace. Create content plans and calendars and implement processes to execute the plans across the entire company. Stay attuned to overarching strategies for social media platforms and relevant platform updates, and help build followers, increase engagement and foster a meaningful online community for the Wasserman brand. Develop content ideas, offer support and oversight, and ensure overall quality of posts from all Wasserman and sub-brand channels. Ensure strategy helps drive business leads, and that these leads are recorded and tracked. The Director and their team will serve as social media thought-leaders and experts within the company, communicating to relevant groups what does and does not fit into Wasserman's social media strategy in order to reach KPIs and best serve the business. Help to build and define a dedicated audience unique to each platform. Guide copywriting efforts, ensuring copy is appropriate in the ever-evolving social space. Manage the process of creating original visual content, including graphics and videos. Work closely with the marketing and communications department and CMO to execute and uphold the overall Wasserman marketing and communications strategy. Other tasks as assigned. Skills/Qualifications/Requirements : 8 years of experience guiding major social media accounts, developing creative assets, editing copy and engaging with online audience. Experience managing a team of full-time staff. Regardless of candidate location, the position will be expected to keep approximately U.S. Eastern Time Zone (/- one hour) working hours. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines. Strong attention to detail, highly organized. Expertise in the function and utilization of major social media platforms (X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.). A demonstrated passion for, and understanding of, social media. Familiarity with social media management platforms, including Brandwatch. The desire and willingness to learn new skills and identify platforms as they emerge. Initiative to stay on top of trends and online conversation. Passion for the sports, music, and entertainment industry preferred. Basic sports knowledge is a must. Experience working at a global company preferred. Agency experience a plus. Knowledge and experience running paid social campaigns. Ability to build relationships internally and become a trusted resource. Experience with social media performance measurement tools. Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Photoshop. Base salary range: $85-100k plus bonus potential if applicable for role. Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
