WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER The Communications Manager, Sourthern Deltas manages and implements marketing and communications strategies. They engage TNC's diverse audiences, fostering support from our members and donors, as well as supporting the efforts of our conservation, development and government relations teams across a broad geographic area. The Communications Manager, Sourthern Deltas implements comprehensive marketing and communications plans in cross-promotional media (newsletters, web, social), earned media channels and for other internal and external stakeholders. They are a strong writer, and help develop speeches, key messages, articles and talking points, as needed. They research, write and distribute a wide variety of communication materials including but not limited to: op-eds, news releases, fact sheets, web articles, social media posts, newsletters, philanthropy assets and blog posts.The Communications Manager, Sourthern Deltas establishes and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They create partnerships essential to the coordination and delivery of content and strategies.The Communications Manager, Sourthern Deltas supports the Node Lead in the fulfillment of their duties.As the Communications Manager, Sourthern Deltas, you will: Develop and execute comprehensive and connected marketing and communications plans. Work closely with TNC leadership and conservation, policy and development teams to build and implement tactics that further department and organization goals. Monitor, assess and leverage marketing and communications opportunities proactively. Work with conservation staff to identify field opportunities relevant to marketing and communications efforts. Write and edit original content for diverse audiences across multiple platforms. Manage and develop TNC social media channels and following, including growth strategy and posting schedule in collaboration with division's digital team. Build and maintain relationships with top media outlets in key markets across the division in collaboration with division's media relations team. Plan and implement earned media strategy in collaboration with colleagues to actively increase TNC's mindshare and thought leadership. Advise TNC leadership on potential brand and marketing partnership opportunities to increase the organization's visibility with target audiences. Manage marketing and communications budget, evaluate esults and develop recommendations for corrective strategies as needed. Identify, contract, and manage professional, freelance and/or administrative staff. Responsibility and accountability for meeting project goals and objectives. Resolves complex issues independently within program area. Opportunity to act independently within program goals. WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU The ideal candidate will have all or some of these qualifications. Public presentation, and communication skills. Experience developing media relations networks. Experience implementing and measuring communication and engagement plans/strategies. Experience utilizing social media platforms to achieve audience engagement goals. Familiarity with communication technologies and best practices. Knowledge and application of current and evolving trends in relevant discipline. Experience leading or managing projects. Experience planning and implementing social media campaigns. Experience in cultivating and utilizing media relations for earned media placement. WHAT YOU'LL BRING Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum 7 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing client and account relationships. Experience implementing and managing multiple complex projects. Experience negotiating agreements. SALARY INFORMATION The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $65,000 - 88,000 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
