At New Balance, We Got Now.JOB MISSIONThe North America (NA) Marketing Manager - Sport is responsible for creating brand and commercial demand in the following categories: Basketball, Global Football (Soccer), American Football, Tennis, and Baseball. This role serves as a key integrator and connector in North America, ensuring we drive distinct yet connected category strategies while maximizing all regional investments.ACCOUNTABILITIESIn partnership with the Head of Brand & Lifestyle Marketing and relevant cross-functional teams, build and execute commercial marketing plans that support seasonal category and product (footwear, apparel, and accessories) priorities.

Manage and partner with the brand's media agency to develop impactful, full-funnel media plans that drive category awareness, consideration, engagement, and conversion.

Partner with NA Merchandising, Sales, and Demand Planning departments on footwear and apparel buys, volume allocation, and distribution, ensuring alignment with go-to-market strategies and tactical objectives.

Collaborate with Global Marketing, Athlete Activation, and Sports Marketing teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and premium execution across category, product, and athlete marketing efforts.

Work with DTC, eCommerce, Retail, and Wholesale Marketing teams to deliver strong go-to-market plans and identify areas of synergy to amplify efforts across channels.

Have a strong understanding of NA target consumer, new and emerging social media (paid and owned) trends, and immersion in relevant areas for our target consumer (sports, music, fashion, entertainment, etc.).

Partner with the NA Manager of Event Planning to develop, manage, and execute events across key regional sport moments.

Coordinate with Consumer Insights & Analytics to regularly assess consumer behavior and category trends, dissect relevant data and implement learnings to existing and future workstreams.

Ensure brand, category, and athlete guidelines/best practices are adhered to across all consumer-facing content and creative executions.

Assist with overall management of Sport budgets

MEASURES OF SUCCESSBrand consideration growth in each respective sport's culture and ecosystem, including achievement of commercial goals for category footwear and apparel.

Strong partnership with all North America marketing functions (Consumer, DTC, Wholesale) and Global Marketing teams.

Ability to lead cross-functional workstreams, foster strong collaboration, and act as a regional expert across all Sport categories.

Knowledgeable on how to take brand concepts/narratives and translate them into actionable marketing campaigns and activations that resonate with consumers.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSBachelor's degree plus 6-8 years of marketing, communications, brand management, or other applicable experience.

Excellent understanding of the paid media space including marketing tactics that support brand awareness, consideration, and conversion.

Proven experience navigating a complex matrix organization, building strong relationships with cross-functional partners.

Proactive mindset with effective communication skills to ensure and reinforce alignment with key stakeholders across the organization.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong project and budget management skills.
