They're hiring a Site Designer to join their team and support their clients' land development projects from concept through to completion.The ideal candidate has a background in site development, including grading, utilities, and landscape architecture. They will be responsible for developing site layouts, managing site infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with local zoning regulations. This role requires working closely with engineers, architects, and planners to create cohesive and functional site designs. The Site Designer will also collaborate with multiple departments and external stakeholders to deliver successful land development projects.Start date:

Create detailed site designs and layouts using CAD software and other design tools. Ensure that designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Technical Analysis:

Conduct technical analysis and calculations related to grading, drainage, utility connections, and landscaping. Provide recommendations to optimize land use and site functionality.Project Coordination:

Work closely with engineers, architects, and landscape designers to integrate site plans into larger project designs. Ensure that site work aligns with overall project objectives and schedules.Documentation:

Prepare and review technical reports, site plans, and other documentation required for zoning approvals and construction. Maintain accurate records of design iterations and project milestones.Quality Assurance:

Perform quality control checks on site designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards and regulatory codes. Address design challenges or discrepancies proactively.Client Interaction:

Communicate with clients to understand their project needs and offer site design solutions that meet their expectations. Present site layouts and provide updates as needed.Site Visits:

Conduct site visits to gather information, assess conditions, and verify that site designs are being implemented properly during construction.ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Experience in civil engineering for water distribution, wastewater management, and roadways industries is highly preferredCivil engineering design and site planning skillsExperience in site design for educational facilities is a strong plus; however, commercial or residential site design experience is equally valuableProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design softwareStrong understanding of zoning regulations, environmental considerations, and site planning principlesKnowledge of storm water management and erosion control techniquesExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to manage multiple site design projects simultaneouslyNot your type of gig, but know someone who would be interested?
