Senior Industrial Designer

to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative product designs that resonate with consumers, align with market trends, and embody Fiskars' DNA and brand guidelines. You will be a critical part of the New Product Development (NPD) process, leveraging your expertise in consumer products and your keen understanding of consumer needs, retail habits, and market trends.What You'll Do:Concept Generation:

Rapidly generate meaningful product solutions from user insights and design with a user-centric approach.Prototyping:

Build functional and presentation-quality prototypes, both analog and digital.Storytelling:

Compose compelling narratives to communicate your design proposals effectively.Fiskars DNA:

Adhere to and evolve Fiskars' product DNA and branding guidelines in collaboration with the Global Design team.Creative Communication:

Develop renderings, mood boards, and concept sketches. Utilize both digital and analog sketching skills to communicate ideas.Process Improvement:

Participate in continuous improvement of product development processes and help streamline efficiencies.Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Industrial Design, Creative Teams, Product Managers, Front End Development, and Engineering to balance multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.Your Impact:KPIs & Targets:

Successfully complete fast-paced projects with a deep understanding of Fiskars DNA and CMD guidelines. Contribute to annual trend reports and marketing competitive analysis.Visual Storytelling:

Develop and communicate product concepts through renderings, mood boards, and sketches that inspire and drive the brand forward.Strategic Thinking:

Lead the development of design strategy and contribute to the optimization of NPD processes.What You'll Bring:Education:

Bachelor's degree required, BFA or BS preferred.Experience:

5+ years in product design or NPD, with a focus on consumer products.Design Skills:

Strong visualization skills, refined sense of form, human factors understanding, and a passion for storytelling through design. Experience in hand-rendered and digital patternmaking.Tools:

Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, and KeyShot.Manufacturing Knowledge:

Familiarity with product manufacturing processes, including materials, finishes, and plastics. Print production skills are a plus.Collaboration:

A positive attitude and the ability to work well within cross-functional teams. Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback.Attention to Detail:

Strong multitasking skills, ability to handle numerous active projects, and a keen eye for detail.Languages:
