Job Summary:

The Advertising Manager, under the direction of the Director of Marketing, is responsible for the strategic creation of advertising and marketing initiatives for the Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel. Responsible for developing and maintaining marketing operational strategies to meet organizational objectives. Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and coordinates marketing plan changes as needed. Oversees marketing activities as it is related to advertising, community relations, and all entertainment venues.

Provide strategic oversight and consultative support to the Director of Marketing; in regard to advertising, and community relations with specific reports and/or presentations.Assist in establishing and executing marketing plans, media plans, and ad campaigns, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, to focus on meeting organizational objectives and financial goals.Responsible for all marketing and advertising for the property. This includes, but is not limited to the concept, design, and implementation of all media advertising, print advertising, outdoor signage, in-house advertising, promotional collateral pieces, digital placements, display advertising and related marketing.Displays strong leaderships skills to manage and develop team members while achieving company objectives and goals.Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to Director of Marketing.Ensures that all brands and images are portrayed consistently in internal and external communications.Maintains a strong commitment to provide support for the casino’s initiatives, programs, goals and special projects.Displays original thinking and creativity, meets challenges with resourcefulness and develops innovative approaches and ideas.Works closely with the property departments to coordinate marketing programs and enhance communications.Oversees public relations activities to ensure consistent and effective media relations and community awareness.Develop and maintain effective, strong business relationships.Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policy in an ethical manner.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:

Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Will substitute experience in lieu of education on a year-by-year basis.Must have one to two years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience in advertising.Must have strong writing, grammar, spelling and editing skills.Responsible, detail oriented and ability to multitask.General knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.General knowledge of various media files, programs and production techniques.Ability to compose correspondence and manage schedules and projects.Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface and coordinate activities involving team members or guests and work effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization. Must have aptitude for customer service.Ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature while exercising sound judgment in problem resolution.Must be able to work in a team-oriented atmosphere, work independently and handle projects on an individual basis.Must be able to handle high-pressure situations and meet the demands of time constraints.Must work hours as directed by the Director of Marketing and be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, depending on marketing and promotional program needs.A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.Essential Mental Functions:
