Position Responsibilities:
Review, edit, and produce a variety of documents in accordance with language, style, publication, format, presentation, classification, citation, and source standards.
Review and edit documents to provide consistent NGA-SX voice across major publications.
Perform document technical reviews for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style issues, querying and providing guidance to authors to ensure accuracy, completeness, organization, logic, clarity, relevance, consistency, and appropriateness for the intended audience.
Revise and adapt documents for new audiences.
Collaborate with Enhancement Specialist (Graphic Designer) to develop appropriate formats for documents.
Process and disseminate documents in hardcopy, softcopy, and web formats.
Write reports, briefings, articles, and procedures.
Develop guidance on and address the quality of team/office products, provide guidance to other editors, and assist with customer outreach.
Provide support for emerging requirements as assigned by the Government.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated expertise, experience, and education in substantive editing, copyediting, and reviewing for publication. Proficiency in common geospatial software applications and tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, JIRA, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
