We are seeking an Aerial Ground Hand to join our team in the Missoula, MT area. In this role you will install and/or repair aerial cable tv (CTV) coaxial and fiber cable as well as place, relocate, and remove poles, lines, open wire, drops and block wires.

The Role

Installs and/or repairs aerial cable tv (CTV) coaxial and fiber cable

Places, relocates and removes poles, lines, open wire, drops and block wires to maintain efficient operation of the customer’s facilities

Sets up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers

Directs traffic in accordance with local Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines as necessary

Completes additional tasks, such as underground work, as needed

Strives to provide the best customer experience every day

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

1+ year(s) of aerial fiber optic installation and/or telecommunication construction required

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints

Strong knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety requirements

Familiar with NESC (National Electrical Safety Commission) safety guidelines

Ability to safely climb poles with climbing equipment

Ability to travel daily, open to a variety of schedules, participate in on-call evenings and weekends as needed

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Ability to lift and carry 70lbs consistently

Ability to complete tasks with small components and wires

Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time

Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools

Valid driver’s license

Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
