The HEAT Group is seeking to hire a Social Media Content Intern responsible for assisting the social media team with ideating and producing social media specific content for the Miami HEAT, Kaseya Center, Miami HEAT Store, and other auxiliary brand channels. Above average knowledge of the game of basketball and Miami HEAT / NBA narratives, both current and historical, is required. Experience in content ideation, creation and representing a brand's social media presence is preferred.

The ideal candidate for this internship position will be expected to provide and execute fresh and creative ideas for Miami HEAT social media platforms such as Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat and more in an effort to reach a new audience while supporting the vast HEAT Nation audience across the globe.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.

Assist in covering day-to-day narratives surrounding the Miami HEAT basketball team - including but not limited to games, practices and other basketball-centric events.Assist in capturing and editing content for the magnitude of Miami HEAT social media platforms on cellphone and quickly identify moments of content opportunities (professionally photography experience is a plus).Assist in covering designated Miami HEAT and Kaseya Center events in addition to other Miami HEAT talent appearances, providing content through our social media platforms.Assist in monitoring daily social media trends, conversations, filters and emerging platforms that may align with the Miami HEAT brand.Assist the social media team with basketball-related needs in addition to other brand needs.Other duties as assigned by the Social Media Manager.Desired Qualifications:

Must be enrolled at an accredited universityMust have significant knowledge of Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat and other social media platformsMust have above average knowledge of the game of basketball and Miami HEAT / NBA narratives both current and historicalMust have experience in capturing and editing cellphone contentExtensive knowledge of pop culture, current events, and social media/internet cultureSocial media creativity and swift adaptability to current eventsStrong writing, creative, and analytical skillsAbility to work nights, weekends and holidays for events and Miami HEAT game coverageMust be detail-oriented, well organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a timely and professional manner while taking initiativeOutstanding communication, teamwork, and relationship building skillsProfessional photography skills are a plus

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
