We accomplish this by providing trusted information, expanding access to quality services, and catalyzing culture change.PositionThe Director of Marketing is a multi-faceted position that sits at the intersection of marketing, branding, content, and communications. The Director will oversee Power to Decide’s marketing strategy and efforts to promote the organization, enhance brand recognition, and drive engagement to our digital properties, including Bedsider.org, AbortionFinder.org, PowertoDecide.org, and social media channels. We seek an organized individual who excels in both writing and marketing, with a robust skill set for communications and content creation.The Director of Marketing will report to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and brand messaging strategies for Power to Decide and its sub-brands, Bedsider and AbortionFinder, to ensure sustained awareness, expanded audience reach and acquisition, and increased engagement with content and tools.Develop and implement creative organic and paid marketing campaigns by leveraging data and insights from diverse fields to effectively engage audiences.Lead the development and dissemination of key assets, including the annual report, strategic plan, presentations, printed educational materials, and marketing collateral (e.g. brochures, videos, and one-pagers), ensuring brand consistency.Support revenue generating efforts by establishing and maintaining corporate relationships that aim to promote our brands and contribute financial or in-kind support to the organization.Develop and maintain strong partnerships that engage organizations, advocates, health care providers, and sponsors, and support the Development team in cultivating and enhancing meaningful relationships with donors and funders.Lead the email marketing strategy for all three brands by collaborating across departments, and overseeing audience segmentation, content creation, scheduling, and performance analysis.Collaborate with the VP of Marketing and Communications and digital marketing consultant to manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI.Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Social Media and Campaigns to integrate social media into the marketing strategy, including working with social media influencers and content creators.Potentially serve as on-screen talent for organizational videos, including promotional, educational, and internal communication content, as needed.Manage and oversee the application process for industry awards, including the Webby Awards, Shorty Awards, and Anthem Awards.Build the capacity of the Board, Advisory Group members, and staff to serve as effective brand ambassadors for the organization.Potentially supervise additional Marketing and Communications staff in the future.Perform other duties as necessary.QualificationsWe are looking for someone who thinks big and embraces innovation. They share Power to Decide’s commitment to health equity and to building a world in which all people have meaningful access to abortion, birth control, and other reproductive health care they need.The successful candidate will have/be:Bachelor’s degree and eight to ten years of experience working in marketing required.Proven experience in digital marketing, focusing on developing and executing strategies for 15–29-year-olds (specifically Gen Z) and underserved communities.Experience in the sexual and reproductive health field preferred, with a strong commitment to advancing sexual and reproductive health care, including contraception, abortion, and health equity.Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex messages into clear, accessible content across various formats.

Recent experience in email marketing (preferably with MailChimp), including audience segmentation, content creation, scheduling, and performance analysis.

Demonstrated leadership in managing teams of external consultants and internal staff.Creative mindset with a strong sense of design and visual aesthetics; on-camera experience preferred.Understanding of the value of social media for engaging key audiences, sharing educational content, and promoting our organization, with the ability to advise on effective social media strategy.

Strong multitasking, project management, and organizational skills in a fast-paced remote environment, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Google Workspace, ChatGPT, Canva, and work management tools (preferably Monday.com).

Ability to work effectively from a remote home office and travel 5-6 times per year if necessary.
