WHO YOU ARE:

Seeking an IT professional to create dashboards and interactive visual reports. Self-starter with the ability to research and recognize relevant data, data patterns and determine the value-add of those to business processes. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills and ability to enhance technical skills as technology evolves. Must be able to communicate in a professional, customer-focused manner.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Power Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst / Report Writer (Systems Analyst III-IV) is selected by and accountable to the IT Performance Analytics Manager with the approval of the IT Scheduled Releases Director, Deputy Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Officer. Performs complex to highly complex (senior-level) computer systems analysis work. Work involves planning and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems. May provide guidance to others. Works under general to limited supervision, with moderate to considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:

-Coordinate with users to gather requirements, test, and validate data in a Power BI dashboard.

-Convert business requirements into technical specifications and implement reports that support decision-making.

-Establish relationships between data and develop tabular and multi multidimensional data models.

-Design, develop, test, provide Power BI scripts; perform detailed analysis.

-Review and compare data sets between various sources.

-Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI. Create customized diagrams and user-defined calculations as needed.

-Prepare and execute data searches using SQL (Structured Query Language) in the development of reports.

-Prepare, update and present complex technical documentation.

-Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and agency laws, rules, policies, and procedures including IT Handbook and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that govern TWC IT.

-Contribute to teamwork and communicate effectively.

-Promote an image of IT excellence.

-Perform other duties as assigned to maintain IT operations.

-Maintain a reliable, predictable work schedule, and/or be called upon to work outside of normal business hours to sustain operations or complete urgent assignments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-Bachelor's degree related to Information Systems and two years of recent experience with data analysis.

-Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and systems such as Power BI, Tableau, SAP, etc.

-Experience in Power BI and DAX.

-Experience with Microsoft BI Stack.

-Experience with Microsoft Office (Windows, Teams, Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint)

-Expert use of Microsoft Excel to include pivot tables, macros, visualizations, and queries.

-Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.

-Proactive and detail-oriented; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks; and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

-Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

-Ability to produce and present clear, concise and professional communications and presentations.

-Competencies in planning, project management, and organization.

MINIMUM QULIFICATIONS:

-Systems Analyst III: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field, plus one year of full-time experience in computer programming, systems analysis, and/or program analysis or one year of full-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis.

-Systems Analyst IV: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field, plus two years of full-time experience in computer programming, systems analysis and/or program analysis or two years of full-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis.

-Both Levels: One year of full-time experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education.
