Overview

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing technical, analytical, and organizational support for all analytical efforts including utilizing databases to provide strategic insights by developing dashboards, visualizations, and charts, identifying opportunities to streamline reporting through process or automation, and the creation and execution of queries to extract data for direct marketing programs.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

- Create and maintain recurring reporting for distribution on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.- Identify efficiencies in recurring reporting by automation and/or through process.- Develop database queries to be utilized in analytical reporting and processes.- Review database queries and reports for accuracy prior to distributing to stakeholders.- Wrangle external data and ingest into Enterprise Data Warehouse.- Create and modify stored procedures in Enterprise Data Warehouse.- Accurately create and modify existing database queries to extract data for direct marketing programs.- Manipulate and sort lists in preparation for direct marketing vendors.- Create, manage, and distribute direct marketing reports.- Reconcile data across multiple databases to ensure accuracy in reporting and direct marketing lists.- Research and recommend effective direct marketing approaches.- Supports all operational department needs, helping to identify and implement process improvements.- Serves as a training resource on analytic programming tools and methods.- Coordinate system testing with IT and Shared Services.- Investigates and solves data quality issues.- Prepares ad-hoc analysis upon request.- Maintains professional relations with vendors and guests.- Attend and participate in off property functions and events as assigned.- Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.- Communicates effectively with all levels of the operation. Proactively identifies issues and concerns to management.- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

- 3 to 5 years combined experience in a Database Marketing, Operations Analysis, or Planning & Analysis position.- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Analytics preferred.- Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.- Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.- Prior experience in Tribal Gaming preferred.- Prior experience opening new properties/outlets preferred.- Must successfully pass background check.- Must successfully pass drug screening.- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

Knowledge of:

- SQL Server Management Studio/Query tools required (advanced skills required).- Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced skills required).- Microsoft Word, Access, and PowerPoint.- Proficiency in Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS, Microsoft Report Builder, or similar data visualization software required.- Bally's CMP, EBS, Kiosk and BI Tool experience preferred.- Interpersonal communication, team building, and problem-solving skills required.- Understanding of and experience in the property's regional gaming market.- Casino marketing functions including, but not limited to, players club, the formulation and implementation of promotions and events, advertising and branding.- The Gaming industry, including principles and practices of a capital and operations budget.- Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
