ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESConducts Research for New Products

by researching new development and potential product leads in the US, especially in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, chemical, and agrochemical fields; and by identifying and collaborating with universities, companies, or individuals with potential to impact Pharma's new technology and business development.Monitors and Fosters the Overall Development of Projects

by proactively managing project leads and developing them into early-stage projects under the supervision of the Vice President of Pharma Division, including delivery of first samples to clients; by cooperating with Vice President to ensure projects progress from early stage to later development stages; and by providing business information, and other materials, needed to support customers develop new products.Promotes Advertising Activities and Customer Relations

by supporting marketing and advertising activities by participating in trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and conventions; by supporting Pharma Division's advertisement initiatives as needed; by maintaining and increasing ties with key customer contacts in the US based pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical fields; and by making customer visits to promote new development project leads.Maintains Accurate and Effective Communication

by researching new development and potential product leads in the US, especially in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, chemical, and agrochemical fields; and by identifying and collaborating with universities, companies, or individuals with potential to impact Pharma's new technology and business development.Ensures Smooth Operations

by ensuring that Pharma Division's operational functions are accomplished in a professional, accurate, and timely manner; by working outside of normal work hours when necessary, especially for communication to Japan; by keeping a flexible and positive attitude to approach different job tasks in an effective manner; and by following guidelines and policies set by the company.Keeps Senior Management Informed

by immediately reporting verbally, or in writing, problem/issues quickly for approval, action, or to eliminate problems; by participating in meetings; and by communicating with management regularly regarding the needs of the division.Contributes to Team Effort

by being flexible in work assignments; covering for other staff as needed; and by furnishing support to newcomers in the department.Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge

by attending educational workshops; by reviewing professional publications; and by establishing personal networks.Other duties assigned

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain complete and open lines of communication with other personnel, function, or department to facilitate operations and interaction in the organization.Keep supervisor informed of status and progress, ensuring that regular and periodic communication takes place.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and keeping abreast of industry trends and related compliance issues within the area of responsibilities.Maintain professional conduct, attendance, and high ethical standards in the work place, complying company's policies and procedures.Fulfill mandatory training requirement applicable for department and job duties as appropriate.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by supervisor or Management.

Bachelors (required)Experience

Combination of laboratory experience and commercial exposure (preferred)5 - 7 years: Pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology sector (required)Skills
