About the Role:

The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company's growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to support our Sales and Customer Success departments grow and retain our client base. The Marketing team is responsible for all demand generation efforts by executing engaging campaigns, effective product marketing strategies, and attending client and trade-show events. The marketing team is also responsible for promoting the PitchBook brand and managing internal communications.

The Customer Marketing Manager is laser-focused on expanding revenue and retaining customers within our existing customer base. This role will use data and insights about our customers, the market, and win/loss analysis to inform development and deployment of effective expansion, retention, and restarts marketing programs. This position will also support account based marketing strategies, working in partnership with performance marketing and campaigns teams to execute programs. This role will partner closely with the Sales Enablement team to inform existing business sales enablement strategy and upsell opportunities. Collaboration is key - partnering with Demand Generation, Campaigns, Performance Marketing, Customer Success, and more. This position requires a savvy marketer who wants to continually test, learn, lean on the data, and collaborate across functions to find new and innovative ways of reaching, supporting, expanding and retaining our customer base.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement marketing programs and initiatives in support of customer expansion, retention, and restartsDrive outsized improvements in net renewal rate within our core customer basePartner closely with Customer Success to understand their needs in relation to expansion and retention of customers and identify and deploy program and initiatives for marketing to support their effortsPartner closely with Demand Generation to support initiatives fueling the pipeline for growth of existing customers by segmentServe as a marketing expert for existing customers' needs, working in close partnership with teams across marketing and the broader organization to influence campaigns and programsUtilize data-driven decision making to influence future marketing programs and initiatives to drive expansion and retention of our customersDefine, develop, and measure against objectives, measurement milestones, metrics, and KPIs for initiatives and programs, regularly reporting results to leadership across marketing and cross-functional partnersBuild and maintain close partnerships with the broader Marketing organization (Web, Digital, Marketing Ops, Program Management, and Content Strategy) to best leverage available channel mix and partner on decisions to achieve target KPIsMonitor industry trends and stay up to date on new technology and techniques, especially those specific to your customer segment/sSupport the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviorsParticipate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience5+ years of B2B marketing experience, SaaS preferred, in customer engagement, demand generation, or campaignsProven track record of creating and executing account-based marketing or multi-channel marketing programsTop-notch analytical skills with a proven ability to work through data and multiple attribution models to find opportunities and actionable insights and clearly communicate to a diverse set of stakeholdersWork well cross functionally, building strong relationships to effectively partner across marketing teams and with leaders from customer success, product, and operations organizations to obtain shared successFamiliarity with marketing automation tools (preferably Marketo), CRM (preferably salesforce.com) web analytics, business intelligence (preferably Tableau), and HighSpotBoth a strong strategic thinker, with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data/insights into strong marketing strategies, and a highly organized "doer," with a data-driven mentality and a bias toward actionExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency and follow-throughExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to juggle and prioritize multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, results oriented environmentDesire and ability to be a team player who appreciates a unique, entrepreneurial and collaborative environmentResourceful self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and adaptive to changeEnergetic, friendly, and self-motivated attitudeProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation

Annual base salary: $95,000-$110,000Target annual bonus percentage: 10%

Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
