Meets with students and/or student groups within Student Life and Development to go over and conceptualize projects. The designer then works to design and complete projects by gaining final approval from students within our design timeframes. The designer will be working on multiple projects at the same time and managing their workflow through software. The designer also will meet with vendors to place marketing and apparel collateral ordered for student groups and departments.Conceptualizes, designs, and produces printed advertising, branding, apparel, and collateral materials for students and/or student organizations within Student Life and DevelopmentMeets with student groups to discuss inspiration and advises them on proper design direction for projects.Communicates to staff best technological practices to complete projects or marketing campaigns.Designer specializes in helping team with hand drawn illustrations and converting them to high resolution digital files.Designer specializes in editing and creating stunning video/animated promos for student groups and departments.Works with Print vendors to have materials ordered, printed, and received.Obtains quotes and invoices for printed marketing material for student groups and/or departments.Helps supervise lower-level student design interns.Maintains jobs through project management software (trello), so projects are recorded, done orderly and within deadlines.Attends and works as event staff for large department programs.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience. Must be proficient in Adobe Create Suite and requires a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Desired Qualifications
Previous graphic design experience.Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite with particular attention to Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign.Minimal photography experience is a plus.Job Category
