Marketing Specialist/Merchandising

The Marketing Specialist, Merchandising is responsible for developing merchandising strategies and techniques that drive profit and customer satisfaction. This role includes merchandising planning and coordinating of activities to open new branch locations, remodel branches, create product displays and merchandising plans, and determine signage needs.
General Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to build project timelines, manage and prioritize workload, ensure projects remain on schedule and proactively identify issues as they ariseDevelop and maintain cross-department and vendor relationships, working closely with stakeholders, agencies, and other contributors to ensure projects and events are seamless, high quality and completed on time and within budgetOther duties as assigned or as opportunities arise to support the companyNew Branch / Branch Remodel Responsibilities:
Collaborates with project team on creating counter merchandising plans and designs layouts based on stock productEstablishes plan and support for each phase of counter product population and provides direction for personnel support (counter sales, other branches, vendor) provided by branch CSMCoordinates with team on planning, designing, and installation of interior and exterior signage, talkers, literature holders, etc.Merchandising Responsibilities:
Dedicates adequate time for both Branded Manufacturers and 33Brands productsVisits all Core Branches at least once per yearReviews and recommends improvements for merchandising, optimizing stock, tidying shelves, etc. working with Sales and Purchasing to executeReviews and assists with literature replenishment as neededReviews and assists with signage updates as neededRecommends and communicates plans for inline shelving, end caps, and point of purchase displays, including making space for new product introductions and seasonal changesCollaborates with sales and purchasing teams to plan and execute vendor display opportunities including assisting with display set up, slat wall, and inline shelvingAssisting with stock levels/replenishmentProviding on-site support as neededTrains CSM and sales teams on:Merchandising best practicesHow to maintain merchandising for both Branded Manufacturer and 33brands products33brands selling techniques, cross-selling, and up-selling to increase average order size, especially for new productsWorks with Sales, Vendors and Reps to assist with counter promotions, lunch & learns, scratch & dent sales, etc.Qualifications:
High school diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of 2 years of project management and/or event planning experienceMinimum of 1 year of field merchandising experienceMinimum of 1 year of counter (wholesale or retail) sales experience (or equivalent)Skilled in MS OfficeThrives on meeting deadlines while working on multiple projectsExcels when working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational and time-management skills to see projects through to completionImpeccable attention to detailSuperior problem-solving and communication skillsTravel is required approximately 80% of the time, within the company footprint (Ohio, western Pennsylvania and Wheeling, West Virginia) so the candidate must be able to accommodate this lifestyle.Ideal Candidate:
Ability to listen well, speak clearly and concisely and communicate ideas effectively throughout all levels of the organizationComfortable delegating tasks as necessary and monitoring to ensure completionDevoted to adjusting quickly, problem-solving and following through on tasksPhysical Demands:
