JOB REQUIREMENTS: IT Manager - Infor Visual - 987 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Summary This position is responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting Infor Visual ERP & supporting systems for FMD (Fairbanks Morse Defense). The role provides leadership in supporting and expanding the use of the Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) and supporting system including all application enhancements, upgrades, and support. Principle Duties and Responsibilities * Provide leadership, vision, and guidance to the FMD applications organization, developing their skills and capabilities to meet the needs of the business units through traditional and emerging technologies * Provide input and support to develop the overall IT Applications strategy that ensures the needs and priorities of FMD's Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing functions are addressed and creating value for the business * Life cycle management of Infor Visual ERP and supporting systems through timely patching & upgrades * Develop an ERP applications support plan and structure capable of supporting Infor Visual all supporting applications * Work closely with the FMD Companies to build a clear vision and strategy for business applications * Train all business analysts on the effective use of development and deployment methodologies and tools * Coordinate all application deployment with the Infrastructure Services Team as well as the Service Desk to ensure adequate infrastructure capacity and support is available * Lead or coordinate all key strategic business systems implementations projects for business systems * Manage business systems development standards, methodology and procedures in partnership with Corporate IT This specification is intended to indicate the kinds of tasks and levels of work difficulty that will be required of positions that will be given this title and shall not be construed as declaring what the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position shall be. Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications and Educational Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Advanced degree desirable * 8+ years of experience implementing and supporting business applications in two or more functional areas * Minimum of 5 years of Infor Visual ERP implementation/management experience; includes world-class manufacturing and supply chain systems * At least one full cycle ERP implementation in a manufacturing global organization * Prior Business Process Engineering/Optimization experience (e.g. Six Sigma, TQM, BPR, etc.) * Strong project management skills with a successful record of delivering large programs/projects * Experience enabling and supporting remote plant/warehouse/service center operations and remote end-users * Understanding of strategic business objectives and results driven approach to achieving those objectives * Success in leveraging traditional best practices, such as ITIL, PMBOK or similar, as well as waterfall and agile concepts * Demonstrated experience developing and managing strategic relationships * Travel requirement up to 25% * This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data.
