Overview:

All who are selected to participate in CFRs Blavatnik Internship Program and Robina Franklin Williams Internship Program receive training in the field of foreign policy and international affairs as well as skills training in writing, research, program planning and much more.CFRs podcast seeks to explain pressing IR issues to a new, wide audience. Under the umbrella of the Multimedia team, the podcast intern will prepare research briefings on episode topics, and aid in other logistical and production-related tasks.CFR internships are paid, require a 14- 18 hour commitment, and are filled on a rolling basis.Please note that all internships are offered on a hybrid (half in the office, half remote) or fully remote basis. All internships are paid positions (no exceptions can be made on this). As such, all interns must have the legal right to work in the United States and be based in the United States for the duration of the internship.The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to)::Prepare research briefings on episode topics, including compiling and highlighting articles on multiple subjects, uncovering fresh angles and points of interest, and assembling lists of speakers and guestsAssist with application for festivals, awards, etc.Photo, website content, and podcast production research; editing photos and audio, and copyediting news stories and multimedia projects; reviewing and editing transcriptsAssist with organizing interviews and other logisticsQualifications:

Undergraduate or graduate student focusing on journalism, international relations, or related fieldAll applicants should have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college coursework (not including AP classes in high school) by the time they begin an internshipStrong research and writing skillsPrevious journalism, web, multimedia experience a plusProficiency in MS Office and GooglePay Rate$17.50 per hourAbout CFR:Founded in 1921, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is a leading nonprofit membership organization, research center, and publisher, with headquarters in New York, an office in Washington, DC, and programs nationwide.
